A collection of spreads from The Gathering Path
The Waymarkers Spread · Wonder · November 2024
For our first journey together along The Gathering Path I wanted to offer a spread that called upon the energy of the compass and the four directions, but with a strong emphasis on the elements, so that we begin our journey feeling like we are carrying gifts (our waymarkers) that will help us along the way.
The Sea & Sky Spread · Breath · January 2025
A tarot spread to help us connect with the boundaries of sky and sea within us through the path of the breath, helping us to understand what we are holding onto, releasing, and an important area of communion to focus in our current life. I encourage you to incorporate breathwork into your tarot practice, perhaps taking a deep breath in and out before pulling each card or another form of breathwork that makes the most sense to you.
The Soul Song Spread · Song · April 2025
Song and the singing of sacred chants and rhythms is an old way of calling home the parts of ourselves that may have gotten lost, confused or caught up on a path that isn't right for us anymore. The following tarot spread made up of cards that we choose purposefully and cast at random helps us call name, speak to, and call home the parts of ourselves that may have gone astray because of stress, of upset, or simply the intensity of being alive at this particular moment in our global culture.
Conversations with Relics Spread · Relics · July 2025
Encountering a relic doesn't grant you exact knowledge of its meaning or purpose - but it does mean that you're in the presence of something. And that's an interesting place to be in, full of lots of possibilities. Sometimes encountering a relic means making note of it on our map, but moving on for the moment. But if you have the time and curiosity for it, it can be interesting to spend some time in conversation with a relic you've come across on your path. The following tarot spread helps us to decode our own relics by understanding where they are showing up in our life and body and by honoring them not as immovable monoliths but as a part of ourselves that is trying to get home.
